By Suzanna Kerridge

Published: 8 July 1998 15:23 GMT

Tivoli System's chairman, Frank Moss, has finally stepped down after a year of intense speculation over his role.

Jan Lindelow, the company's current chief executive, will take over from Moss. Lindelow has been seen as the natural successor since he took over as chief operating officer last year.

Moss said he plans to start his own firm called Strategic Software Ventures, but will continue as a consultant on strategic issues for Tivoli.
