Novell has dipped into its $50m Internet Equity Fund to invest $10m into four emerging Internet and enterprise software companies in exchange for minority equity positions.
Evergreen Internet, Chandler, GlobeCast Communications and NetPro Computing are all US-based and were selected due to their use of Novell's NetWare 5 network server.
Half the $50m has been set aside for investment into companies offering applications, tools and utilities that take advantage of Novell Directory Services.
