The testimony of software tycoon Bill Gates was shown to the court yesterday as part of ongoing evidence in the Microsoft versus the US Department of Justice anti-trust case.
Excerpts from 20 hours of video testimony were shown. However, Microsoft criticised the use of the tape claiming it was "little more than a scheme designed to get around the judge's limit on the number of witnesses."
Gates answered questions about Apple's claim that he forced it to use Microsoft's Internet Explorer browser.
Government lawyer David Boies also questioned Gates on an alleged meeting with Netscape in May or June, during which the companies were said to have discussed dividing up the Internet market between them.
