Microsoft turns spotlight on AOL/Netscape deal

At the Microsoft anti-trust trial, the software giant's defence lawyers have gone on the offensive and subpoenaed AOL, Netscape and Sun over their business plans.

Microsoft hopes to prove the recent alliance of the three companies will demonstrate credible competition, thus hitting at the core of the government's antitrust case.

All three companies say they are handing over relevant documents to Microsoft lawyers.
