Network management company, SEEL, has been accredited as one of the companies authorised to test and manage NHS network.
It was selected to become an official service provider of IT health CHECK services by the Central Electronics Security Group (CESG), the group that organises system security for government systems.
This makes SEEL the only company in Scotland, and one of only twenty in the UK, to be awarded CHECK status.
SEEL's responsibilities will include testing for security weaknesses in Health Service networks under the guidelines set by the CESG and the Defence Evaluation Research Agency.
