BT signs deal for 90,000 NDS licenses

BT has signed a deal with Novell that will see it deploy Novell Directory Services (NDS) for NT to 90,000 users.

The first part of the contract will see 50,000 licenses of NDS rolled out immediately with a further 40,000 by May 2000.

Novell claims that using a mixed NDS/Windows NT environment can reduce management costs by up to 40 per cent.
