Hewlett-Packard (HP) has launched what it claims is the first broadband, ADSL-based PC available in the UK.
The HP Pavilion PC, developed in conjunction with an unnamed ISP, will be priced from £1,299 and is based on the AMD K7 650MHz processor. It comes with 128MB SDRAM, 15GB hard disk drive and an integrated 10/100BT LAN card.
The latest offering from HP will allow users to download video and music files from the Web more quickly than using traditional V.90 modems.
