The de facto standard for network management, HP OpenView, is to integrate with UK start-up RiverSoft, to win access to crucial "interventionless" technologies.
RiverSoft's OpenRiver product is a fault isolation solution that requires minimum attention from network managers. It identifies the root cause of network problems, and automatically recognises changes in network configurations.
OpenRiver will be integrated with HP OpenView Network Node Manager, the companies announced today.
