Linux guru tempted to Caldera

Linux specialists Caldera have poached top Linux expert John Terpstra from rivals Turbolinux, to work on standardising the open-source operating system.

Formerly vice president of community relations at Turbolinux, Terpstra will guide product development and liase between conflicting business and open-source programming environments.

The transfer is bound come as blow to Turbolinux as the company recently lost co-founders Cliff and Iris Miller.
