The next generation of applications also includes new customer analytic applications with a library of out-of-the-box analyses that deal with sales, marketing and service.

Siebel said its eBusiness 2000.3 supports fully automated, multi-stage and event-triggered marketing campaigns that allow companies to deliver personalised marketing programs based on real-time customer behaviour. With Siebel's segmentation capabilities, users have unlimited flexibility in defining precisely targeted customer segments using integrated analytics, calculated mathematical scores and formulas.

Users of Siebel ebusiness applications can refine business strategies, operational execution and improve customer acquisition, retention and profitability since the software combines front office, back office and external data into a single eBusiness data warehouse to provide a customer-focused view.

Siebel 2000.3 also includes new prepackaged interfaces that integrate data from ERP, legacy and eCommerce applications with the Siebel eBusiness Data Warehouse. The Siebel Extractor for SAP R/3 and PeopleSoft ERP are available today and Broadvision and Ariba will be supported in future releases.

One of Siebel's customers, Adam Klaber, managing partner for CRM at PricewaterhouseCoopers, said the latest release delivers true closed-loop marketing automation and customer analytics across all customer touch points.

He said: "This expanded offering will allow our mutual clients to more completely understand their customers and then leverage the insight to enhance productivity and maximize profitability."

Siebel eBusiness Analytics utilizes the same Web-based architecture as Siebel Marketing, which allows employees outside the marketing department to analyze sales, marketing and service data within the Siebel eBusiness Data Warehouse.

Customers include General Motors Residential, Bell Canada, Janssen-Cilag, Marketswitch and Business Objects.
