UK firm ImagoQA is to take over the UK lab of US firm NSTL to become NSTL's agent in the UK and Europe. The combined operation will have a staff of around 140.

NSTL has a large number of impressive clients including NASA, the Canadian Government, the US Navy, major PC makers and giant firms such as Microsoft, HP, IBM and Intel. It is currently part of Lord Hollicks' United Media as a result of its purchase of CMP Media.

ImagoQA last November mounted a management buy out for £10m backed by Barclays and claims to be the leading specialist software business in the UK with a turnover of £13m after a growth of 193 per cent in 1999.

Its clients include most major UK banks, British Airways and a clutch of top international banks.
