
Chip giant AMD has announced that its seventh-generation Athlon processor will be included in Compaq's Presario 7000Z PC.

AMD's processor will work at speeds up to 1.2GHz, incorporating double data rate memory technology.
The Compaq machine, geared towards video editing, CAD/CAM, streaming media and gaming applications, will retail from $1,699 and includes 128 MB memory, 80GB hard drive and video editing software.
