Apple is opening a new store in the UK, this time in Birmingham's Bullring shopping centre.

The store will receive its official opening at 18:00(BST) on 29 April - just in time for the release of the next iteration of the Mac operating system, Tiger.

For those venturing out to spend their Friday night in the Apple shop, there will be a chance to win a Digital Lifestyle Collection worth £2145, Tiger workshops and demos and commemorative T-shirts for the first 1,400 enthusiasts.

The store is Apple's second foray into the retail space, following the opening of its Regents Street store last year.
