Location-savvy - but where's mobile connectivity?

Another week, another mini laptop launch.

The latest to step up and bid for your netbook cash is fridge and mobile maker, LG. The Korean electronics giant has announced the LG Netbook X110, above.

According to LG, this little laptop packs GPS, setting it apart from rival mini notes and putting it more in the league of a location-savvy smart phone such as the iPhone.

But for all its smart phone aspirations, there's no mobile connectivity to be had: the UK model does not "currently" have in-built 3G, according to an LG spokeswoman - but models in other countries "may have this", she added.

The X110 runs Windows XP Home and comes with wi-fi. It has a 10-inch screen and 82-key full-size keyboard - so it's definitely at the wider end of the mini note market.
