Apple CEO Steve Jobs on Tuesday announced updates to the company's MacBook laptop line-up, including Nvidia graphics, a glass multitouch trackpad, a thinner casing crafted from a single block of aluminium, solid-state drives, some price reductions, and more.

As expected, Apple also released its first sub-$1,000 notebook. The announcements took place at the company's headquarters in California.
