Would be nice if Dell (and rthe rest of the IT industry) stopped using Expanded Polystyrene in their packaging for laptops, PC's, monitors and servers etc....

and started using bio-degradable moulded cardboard instead.

The only way to get rid of Expanded Polystyrene currently is to burn it. Most ends up as landfill.
