HP gives thanks for November PC boost
Is it a sign of things to come or has Christmas come early this year?

HP has reported a seasonal boost in sales following a bumper Thanksgiving weekend.
PC sales rose 10 per cent on last year's figures - with the increase in revenue belying a 20 per cent increase in the actual number of units sold.
The peak for the Thanksgiving weekend reflected an overall increase in November sales though analysts and vendors are keeping their feet firmly on the ground.
HP warned that the Thanksgiving peak doesn't necessarily point towards higher sales to come or a bumper Christmas period but may instead be a result of people having done their Christmas shopping early - encouraged to spend by price cuts and special offers.
