IBM is expected to unveil a series of portal products featuring built-in web services.
The portal products, part of its WebSphere Portal portfolio, will allow companies to create virtual places where workers can gather to exchange ideas and post messages.
The portal's function, titled Collaborative Components, allows integration between existing corporate portals, according to US wires. IBM reportedly said it can convert a portal into a web services unit.
The portal product is also said to feature publishing facilities.
IBM is yet to confirm the exact date of the release of its portal products.
