Toshiba plans mobile chip for email and Net access

Toshiba has announced plans to integrate communications technology into forthcoming processors.

The company told the Microprocessor Forum in Silicon Valley this week that the chips will be used in mobile phones. Toshiba claims it facilitates building wireless access to email and Internet services.
