Virtual Ink, provider of whiteboard-to-PC document management technology, has signed a worldwide distribution agreement with office supplier Quartet GBC.
As well as offering Virtual Ink's mimio product through its office supply catalogues, Quartet will manufacture and rebadge the device.
mimio is aimed at the installed base of regular whiteboards - estimated to be about 40 to 80 million globally - and is cheaper ($499) and more mobile than electronic whiteboards.
Virtual Ink CEO, Greg McHale, said the deal will give the company better access to retailers and resellers. He told Silicon.com that mimio will sell for between £349 and £399 in the UK.
An interview with McHale will appear soon in Silicon.com's Document Management Channel.
