Symbol clinches Ford LAN deal

Symbol Technologies has won a contract with the Ford Motor Company to supply it with its Spectrum24 wireless LAN product after a year of testing.

The deal includes offices, vehicle diagnostic centres, test tracks and global dealerships.

The deal sees Symbol's worldwide customer base grow to 45,000.
