Equisys has unveiled a product developed with Cardiff Software that allows computers to automatically read and input data received in fax form.
The system allows documents received by an Equisys Zetafax server to interpret and transfer the information into databases, spreadsheets or ASCII files. Users will also be able to fax information directly from a database, and directly from the desktop.
The system combines Equisys' Zetafax server with Cardiff Software's TELEform 6.1 software and is a result of a "major" collaboration between the two companies. Cardiff Software specialises in the field of digital information capture.
Equisys claim the system can reduce a company's data entry costs by up to 70 per cent.
