The US Patent and Trademark Office is using Sterling Software CONNECT product to distribute publicly available patent and trademark information.
The information will be accessible over the Web for paying customers. At the moment customers either pick-up information on new patents in person at the office or have it posted to them.
The Web-based system should allow major cost savings as well as giving customers access to information more quickly.
