Nokia and Intel have teamed up to develop Internet-enabled television services.
Intel says the joint technology platform will enable the television industry to deliver new forms of Internet-enhanced programming.
The venture will be based on open standards, including the Digital Video Broadcast (DVB) specification, Internet protocols, the Advanced Television Enhancement Forum specification (ATVEF), Linux and the Mozilla browser.
The first products will be available in the middle of next year.
