ICTS, a Netherlands-based provider of aviation services, has formed a joint venture with Gilat Communications to provide distance training for the aviation industry.
The consortium will establish service centres in the US and across Europe to offer interactive distance learning courses to ICTS's 100-strong airport client list, as well as 60 airlines.
The two companies said the demand for its distance learning services would be driven by the need in the aviation industry for up to date and ongoing training for its staff, and the widely dispersed labour force.
