Computer Associates and Symbol have teamed up to bring anti-virus security to handheld devices.
Symbol announced at its annual sales conference this week that it plans to pre-install all its barcode readers and scanners with Computer Associates' InoculateIT anti-virus solution, running on Windows CE.
Keith Kanneg, Symbol senior director, said anti-virus technology is becoming increasingly important as the company moves its products into the enterprise and ebusiness arenas.
