Intel has announced it will provide all its employees with Internet-enabled PCs for their homes.
The rollout to over 70,000 staff worldwide will begin in June. The chip giant declined to name any PC OEMs or ISPs involved in the scheme, but said a lot of deals are likely to be struck in different countries.
The move follows similar 'wired workforce' initiatives from Ford and Delta Airlines.
Craig Barrett, CEO of Intel, said in a statement: "An Internet-savvy workforce is a strategic advantage in our mission to be the preeminent building block supplier to the worldwide Internet economy."
