Ixos Software will provide Barclays with its archiving and electronic document software to reduce the amount of paper the bank already generates.
The Financial Systems Programme (FSP) at Barclays will implement a single R/3 environment from SAP. In addition, it will use Ixos-Archive to store the group's non-current data automatically to free up more resource on the system.
Once completed, Ixos will provide Barclays with its electronic document management software to control the large amount of paper it produces for approvals, invoices and purchase orders. This paper reduction will allow the documents - by a simple scanning process into the Ixos software - to move around the company with electronically.
