Warner Bros, the company behind Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, hasn't revealed exactly how many impressions the trailer has received so far, but a spokesman claimed numbers are already well into the millions.
Warner Bros is rumoured to be monitoring the site very closely, even though it has thrown a cloak of secrecy over other aspects of the film, such as the massive computerised special effects budget.
However, silicon.com can reveal that a third of the £150m budget will be dedicated to the generation of a virtual wonderland for the film. And some of that £50m is earmarked for 'enhancing' already larger than life characters such as Robbie Coltrane who will play the part of the giant, Hagrid - with body double assistance from rugby player Martin Bayfield, the 2.08m (6ft 10in) former Leicester Tigers and England rugby player.
The online clip has also generated a huge amount of traffic among internet discussion groups - something Warner will no doubt also be monitoring. And rumours of another trailer are already creeping out of the shadows.
