King of the geeks: IT guy gets Jordan

Do you know this man?

By Jon Bernstein

Published: 5 June 2001 15:56 BST

A twenty-one year computer worker is about to become the talk of IT departments up and down the country after he was spotted dating Page 3 model Jordan.

For some, Ian Whitby will be held up as a hero, disproving once and for all the misguided notion that IT pros are short on social skills and long on lonely nights. Others (those who've seen Jordan, perhaps) may disagree.

According to today's Sun, Jordan set her sights on Ian at the Heath Tavern pub in Hayes, Middlesex.

After she'd slapped him on the backside with a bar towel (nice touch) she said: "I'm Jordan and you're coming to a party with me".

Those with nothing better to do will know that Jordan has been seeing Manchester United forward Dwight Yorke. Fortunately, Yorke is on holiday in Cape Town at the moment, giving Ian and the silicone-enhanced Jordan the chance to get to know each other properly.

Good for Ian, we say. But we don't want it to stop here. We want the inside story. So, if you know Ian, let us know what he's really like. Has he dated a model before? What's his secret? Is he really King of the Geeks? Or does someone you know deserve that accolade?
