Psion's supply chain logistics division, Psion Teklogix, has secured a deal to supply the Volkswagen Group with a wireless local area network (LAN).

Supply chain specialists, TNT Logistics, will manage the LAN, which will provide data tracking and control over inventory, warehousing and distribution operations between Teklogix handheld devices of Volkswagen workers in the parts distribution warehouse.

Last month, Psion said it would cut 250 jobs and take a £25m restructuring charge on its exit from the handheld market it helped to create.
