US watch maker Fossil has launched a Palm-compatible watch aimed at fashionable, young consumers.

The device can handle contact and calendar information and works with devices using the Palm operating system such as the Sony Clie and the Handspring Visor.

The watch has 190kb of memory and is likely to appeal to the gadget-mad rather than serious mobile device users.
