UK boffins launch jazz software... nice

Those crazy cats...

UK scientists have developed a software programme which helps jazz musicians to improvise and play tunes.

The software, developed by a team at University College London, mimics insects' flight patterns. The boffins are testing a connection between flight patterns of insects and music.

As soon as an instrument is played, the software starts to "buzz" around the notes being played - creating further dimension to the artists' music.
