Two of the creators of the Xbox are to set up their own company, with the aim of galvanising the computer games market to produce more innovative and exciting games.
The two designers, Seamus Blackley and Kevin Bachus, said they were starting the new company, Capital Entertainment Group, to breathe some life into the games industry.
The company will provide early stage funding and marketing for new games ideas, as well as technical advice, in order to incubate it to completion.
Bachus and Blackley said they were going to search the globe for the most exciting ideas.
