StarTrek.com has announced it will be holding an online convention in August.
Trekkies can take part via the net in a real life convention being held in the Las Vegas Hilton on the first weekend in August.
The Trekkies will be required to take on the identity of characters from the cult TV series to enter the online environment and will be able to interact with other like-minded souls.
The site claims the servers hosting the event will be able to handle more than 100,000 simultaneous users.
