Howdy everybody...

The US high-tech industry has found a new champion to restore its integrity in the wake of recent financial improprieties: Governor of Florida, Jeb Bush.

With WorldCom going into bankruptcy protection this morning and fresh allegations against AOL Time Warner hanging in the air, corporate US badly needs an evangelist whose probity cannot be questioned.

According to the state of Florida, Jeb - brother of President George Bush - is on a week-long trip to the UK to promote the Florida high-tech industry.

Florida is apparently the third-largest producer of IT in the US, and is home to tech giants such as Citrix Systems.

Jeb Bush was at the centre of vote-rigging row in the most recent Presidential election that saw his brother gain a narrow victory over Democrat candidate Al Gore.
