Kiwi boffins have unveiled the ultimate gadget for the tech-savvy gardener - a robotic lawnmower controlled via the internet.
A team of techies from Massey University in Albany claim the prototype, the shape and movement of which is based upon a cockroach, could evolve to perform a number of household chores - including vacuuming and cleaning floors and windows.
Glen Bright, head of the university's research centre, told the North Harbour News that it is hoped a retail version will be available within five years. So get saving.
