Palm is bringing its Centro smart phone to Europe - a handset it reckons is the smallest and lightest smart phone to date. The device weighs just over four ounces, and has a colour touchscreen and a Qwerty keyboard.

Roy Bedlow, European VP of Palm, said slimmed down handsets are helping to persuade traditional mobile users to make the switch to smart phones.
