US smart phone maker Palm has launched the latest iteration of its Treo handset, the Palm Treo Pro, which it describes as "an effortlessly usable smart phone for businesses that want to simplify their IT infrastructures and lower costs".
The device runs the latest version of Microsoft's Windows Mobile OS - 6.1 - which the software giant has claimed makes it easier for IT departments to deploy, manage and secure mobiles.
Ed Colligan, president and CEO of Palm, said in a statement: "Businesses want the control and savings that Windows Mobile affords, in an innovative and elegant package that keeps their users happy."
