The newly launched models are lightweight, weighing in at just over two pounds and approximately one inch thick.

The models are to be launched in a range of eye-catching colours of deep blue, pink or red as well as the more conventional black or white. The S9 has an 8.9-inch screen, the S10 screen is 10.2 inches with a keyboard 85 per cent the size of a full-function laptop's keyboard.

The models also have an energy efficient LED backlit display for a longer battery life. They come equipped with wi-fi and optional Bluetooth and also an Express Card for optional high speed broadband.
