In brief: French aerospace agency buys NEC supercomputer

The French aerospace research agency, Onera, has become the first European customer for the latest version of the NEC SX-5 series supercomputer.

The Dutch and German aerospace agencies use earlier versions in the SX-5 series. NEC hopes the compatibility of the three countries will encourage others to follow suit.
