Sequent servers to drive Ford data

Ford Motor Company, is to upgrade its Analytical Warranty System (AWS) with second-generation Numa 2000 servers from Sequent Computer Systems.

The servers will allow Ford to consolidate multiple systems on to a single platform. Ford migrated to AWS in 1995 with the aim of consolidating existing systems and reducing costs.

AWS handles all warranty claims and related parts information for Ford cars and trucks from over the past ten years.
