Chello Broadband, a high-speed Internet service provider, has selected servers from Sun Microsystems as the platform for its pan-European Internet infrastructure.
The infrastructure, called Aorta, is a tier-one carrier-class backbone and forms part of Chello's efforts to deliver content via high-speed cable modems.
The firm said it will work alongside United Pan-Europe Communcations to develop advanced Internet services at Chello's European labs.
