A plan to bring digital certificates to the mainframe this week won the support of leading PKI software vendors.
Baltimore, CyberTrust, Entrust, Verisign and Xcert announced at the RSA Conference 2000 that they would make their software interoperable with LockStar's PKI solution.
The partnership aims to bring privacy and authentication tools to the vast majority of mission-critical data that is still held on the mainframe.
