RiverSoft, the UK-based network management company, has announced an upgrade to its network management operating system (NMOS).

The company claims NMOS 3.0's Dynamic Discovery facility enables real-time network updates. According to RiverSoft, Dynamic Discovery only reports network changes, thus eliminating the need to rediscover the entire network each time a change occurs.

RiverSoft also unveiled its new Central Management Console user interface, which it says will let users customise their information displays and run diagnostic tests.

Marc Wilkinson, deputy chief technology officer of RiverSoft, said: "We have improved the technology in NMOS 3.0 so it allows network administrators to model the effects that specific actions will have on network devices."
