
Five-year integration and back-up deal...

Unisys has won a £40m contract extension from BT to manage the telco's 1571 answer service.
The five-year deal will see Unisys take charge of the operation and maintenance of all systems relating to the answer service. The IT integrator will also provide recovery and backup services in case of failure.
BT has also ordered an extra 800k mailbox and a £3m upgrade of the answer phone platform.
Unisys has providing managed services for the telco since 1999.
