Music download website Pressplay will provide support for Mac users later this year.
The site, jointly owned by Sony and Vivendi Universal, was launched just before Christmas at the same time as rival venture MusicNet, which is backed by BMG, BMI, Warner and Zomba Records.
Both companies hope to persuade ex-Napster fans to convert from free MP3 downloads to subscription-based payments.
The site was previously only accessible to Windows machines.
