HP has launched a set of new products and is boasting record performance results designed to increase its market share in the ongoing server war against Sun and IBM.
It is putting improved processors into its entry level Unix servers and taking the price down to a minimum of just E3,000 (£1,850).
It has also launched another midrange Unix server, boasting much of the functionality originally developed for its high-end Superdome server.
HP as well revealed new TPC benchmark results giving it a number one position in the price performance tables.
