
European Commission to take a deeper look at proposed $7.4bn buy

On Thursday, the European Commission said it will take a closer look at Oracle's planned $7.4bn purchase of Sun Microsystems.
The in-depth investigation will examine the effect the deal will have on competition in Europe's database market, the European Commission said in a statement.
