The main problem for IT depts with server rooms, and to be honest offices in general is that Air Conditioning as supplied and maintained in the UK is complete and utter rubbish.

Is it installed by people who fail a Corgi Gas Fitters exam ?

In Europe, Asia, America where is is much hotter, they can get it to work properly. Why not here.

In my office you are better opening all the windows first thing in the morning to try and get some air flowing through the building, as the A/C is a waste of electricity as it just stirs the air.
